TIPS to improve your mental health during the outbreak.

The Covid-19 outbreak is having a major impact on the lives of many people all around the world. Almost every industry is affected including finance, manufacturing, services, and tourism, leaving problems down the line for individuals and families.

We know that this situation can be stressful because of the affectation in your personal and professional life, but also your mental health.

Here are some tips to maintain your mental health during the outbreak:


1. Maintain a healthy routine and look after your physical health

Take care of your health by getting enough sleep, eating regular nutritious food, and aiming to do some physical exercise. This is recommended especially if you are currently working remotely or off work.



2. Connect with others often


It is easy to video call someone from the comfort of your home, or anywhere for that matter where there is mobile connectivity. Many applications on mobile devices allow individuals to easily connect with one another. Even if you stay indoors or cannot travel to see family and friends, it is recommended to keep in contact.


3. Take a break from the news



Although it is important to stay up-to-date on the latest, it is also a good idea, to every now and then, switch off and relax. The media is designed to capture your attention and if you pay too much attention it can easily cause you to become anxious.



 4. Implement protective measures


By implementing measures like wearing a face mask, using a hand sanitizer, and washing hands frequently, you are reassuring yourself that you are protecting yourself as much as possible against the Covid-19 virus.



5. Stay in touch with your HR department


Not knowing what strategy your company is using during this outbreak can be stressful.

If you have any doubts about your professional and personal life, regarding the strategy your HR department is having throughout the outbreak you need to get in contact with them to explain to you all the different scenarios.
